My name is Kaitlin McEwan and I am a senior at St. Rose High School in Belmar, New Jersey. This summer I am focused on continuing my preparation for college. In June, I will be representing MSG V network as a correspondent at the Girls Summit of Civic Engagement. I am looking forward to representing MSG V network and helping to empower other young women to recognize their role in today's society.
In July, I am very excited to be attending a two week program at Boston University focused on Journalism and Communications. Boston University has an outstanding communications program and I anticipate that my participation will help focus my academic and extracurricular efforts during senior year.
It should be a great summer and an even better senior year!
WHAT'S SUMMER STARS?
MSG Varsity's Summer Stars contest recognizes high school students for their efforts in preparing for the upcoming school year. Whether it's training to excel on the field, perfecting an art, or helping the community, our contestants' passion can win them a new iPad® or iPod Touch® and earn them the honor of being named a Summer Star.
Summer Stars is also a competition among tri-state high schools. At the end of the contest, the school with the contestants who get the most cumulative votes will win a one-of-a-kind MSG Varsity bash. And there are great prizes for the 2nd and 3rd place schools, too!.
